Addison sent 6 honored wrestlers to Adrian College Friday night to compete in the Lenawee County Wrestling Championships (a tournament where only the top 4 wrestlers in the county at each weight class get invites to compete). In a night that Addison alumni, Jon Lewis and Mykel Sumner were inducted into the Lenawee County Wrestling Hall of Fame, Addison started its night in good form, having 5 of its 6 wrestlers win their semifinals matches and earn trips to the finals to compete for individual county titles.

In the end, senior, Jannya Boorman would be crowned county champion at 125 pounds winning both his semifinal and finals match in dominating fashion, pinning both opponents in the first period.

Juniors, Nathan Rodlund and Brendan Ford, as well as sophomores, Nick Trumble and Aidan Frost would win their semifinal matches but fall in the finals earning them county runner-up accolades.

Junior, Cody Knutson would fall short in both matches and settle for 4th place.

Addison prepares next for the Cascades Conference Championships next Friday night at Grass Lake High School.
