The Addison Panther Football team got one back in the win column on Friday night as they beat the East Jackson Trojans 53-0 in front of a large crowd and a lot of young cheerleaders. The game started off with a bang as Ben Skinner returned the opening kickoff 72 yards and with Donovan Young’s 2-point conversion, the Panthers lead 8-0 only ten seconds into the game.
The defense swarmed the Trojans quarterback and ball carriers all night long, limiting them to 73 total yards and forcing 3 turnovers. Two of the turnovers were returned for touchdowns; Travis Whitaker intercepted a pass and returned for a touchdown to start the second quarter. The following possession Matt Sylvester stripped the ball and Dominic Young scooped it up and returned it for a score.
The Panthers are back in action next Friday as they travel to Grass Lake to take on the 4-0 Warriors.
