Congratulations to the 6 girls who qualified and got to compete at the MHSAA state finals at Hudsonville yesterday in front of hundreds of screaming fans. The weather was perfect, the competition was tough and the girls were ready to compete in their last meet of the season. The girls track team finished in the top 8 in 3 events.
Ally McLouth finished in 2nd place in the long jump with an impressive 17’1 jump, tying her PR for the season. She also finished in 3rd place in the 300 hurdles, and also broke her own school record (for the 3rd time) with a time of 46.24.
The 4×200 relay finished in 9th place, one place out of being all-state, with a season best time of 1:51.2. This relay included Lindsey Laurie, Courtney Flaws, Ashley Vantuyle and Ally McLouth.
The 4×400 relay with Lindsey Laurie, Courtney Flaws, Emily Knight and Ally McLouth finished in 7th place with a time of 4:20.9. They are all-state.
Adrienne Corbin threw 88’6″ in discus and Emily Knight jumped 4’7 in high jump.
