Panthers News · Addison Girls Track team finishes in top 10 at MITCA Team State

Congratulations to the Addison girls track team for finishing in 8th place and scoring 902.5 points at the MITCA team state meet at Centreville High School this Saturday. The ladies performed very well, despite the heat. For most of the team it was their last meet of the season and they walked off the track with several PR’s for the season, they had fun and had tremendous pride for being able to compete together as a team at the state level. Below are some of the highlights from Saturday’s state meet.

The 3200 relay finished in 8th place with a time of 11:03.6, Haley Wilkes, Emily Knight, Krystal Bruske and Brianna Laramore.

Ally McLouth had a couple 1st place finishes. She won the long jump with a jump of 16’4.25″, also took 1st in the 300 hurdles with a winning time of 47.12. She then finished in a close second in the 100 hurdles with a huge PR, 15.83.

Kayla Rutan finished in 3rd place in the 100 hurdles with a time of 17.51. Tying her PR with that time.

The 800 relay finished in 6th place, Lindsey Laurie, Courtney Flaws, Ashley Vantuyle and Ally McLouth ran a 1:54.5.

Haley Wilkes finished in 6th place in the mile with a career best time of 5:54.2, she also finished in 5th place with a time of 13:29.1.

The 1600 relay finished in 6th place with a time of 4:28.1, Lindsey Laurie, Courtney Flaws, Emily Knight and Haley Wilkes.

Adrienne Corbin placed 8th overall with a throw of 89’6.

Emily Knight finished in 5th place with a jump of 4’10, tying her PR of the season.

So proud of the hard work you all have put in this season. Several of the panthers have been invited to compete at the Lenawee County Championship, the top 8 in all of Lenawee County. This meet will take place at Onsted High School. Way to go ladies 🙂
