Panthers News · Addison Girls Track defeats Vandercook, falls to Hanover


It was certainly a tough meet for the lady panthers last night at Hanover Horton, where the panthers matched up with Vandercook Lake and Hanover Horton for a conference double dual. The ladies were prepared for a fight and certainly performed with us walking away with several PR’s, qualifying state times, season bests and a victory against Vandercook Lake, but couldn’t quite matchup to Hanover. After last nights last conference matchup, the lady panthers are currently tied in 2nd place in the Cascades Conference with a record of 5-2. The best overall record the Panthers have had in more than 10 years.  Below are some highlights from last nights meet.

Lindsey Laurie finished in 2nd place to Vandercook in the 100 dash with a time of 14.01., 2nd in pole vault to both schools with a PR jump of 8’0.

Ashley Vantuyle finished in 3rd with a time of 14.3, 3rd place in the 200 with a time of 29.8.

The 3200 relay with Haley Wilkes, Emily Knight, Courtney Flaws and Brianna Laramore finished in first place to Vandercook with a time of 10:46.7.

Ally McLouth finished in 1st place in the 100 hurdles with a time of 16.38, 1st in the 300 hurdles with a season best time of 46.8, 1st place in long jump with a jump of 15’10 and 1st place against Vandercook in the 200 with a season best time of 27.4.

Kayla Rutan finished in 2nd place to Vandercook with a time of 18.1.

Haley Wilkes finished in 1st place to Vandercook in both her mile and 2 mile. She ran a 6:05 in her mile and 13:24 in her 2 mile. She also finished in 2nd place in the high jump with a jump of 4’4.

The 400 relay finished 1st overall with a time of 54.9, with Kayla Rutan, Ashley Vantuyle, Kassandra Sheffer and Lindsey Laurie.

Brianna Laramore finished in 3rd place to Vandercook in the 300 hurdles with a time of 57.9.

Emily Knight finished in 1st place to Vandy in the high jump with a jump of 4’8, 1st in the 800 with a time of 2:46.2.

Adrienne Corbin finished in 1st place overall with a PR best throw of 91’9.

Katie Sawdey finished in 1st place to Hanover with a throw of 29’8.

The 1600 relay finished in 1st place against Vandercook with a time of 4:28.2 with Lindsey Laurie, Emily Knight, Courtney Flaws and Kassandra Sheffer.

Congratulations ladies on a great night. The regional meet will be held this Saturday at Hillsdale College.
