Panthers News · Addison Lady Panthers walk away from meet tonight 4-1 in Cascades Conference

The Addison girls track team had it in their heads what needed to be done today. We knew it was going to be a close meet between all three schools competing. Addison, Grass Lake and Manchester. So close that it could possibly come down to the last race to determine the winner. That’s exactly what happened. The ladies each stepped up in their events and pushed themselves in each area that we needed to score in. When they announced it was just a couple points difference between Addison and Grass Lake, the 4×400 relay was ready to do their thing. Manchester had already beaten us by this point, but Grass Lake we could have them beat. The winner of the last race won the meet. It was a very tight race and both teams equally pushed each other, however Addison ended up outrunning Grass Lake, running a huge PR and under state qualifying time with a time of 4:20.2, Lindsey Laurie, Emily Knight, Courtney Flaws and Ally McLouth. The girls track team are now 4-1 in the Cascades Conference. The Addison girls track team hasn’t been 4-1 in more than 10 years. Below are some highlights from tonight’s meet.
