Though it comes after the season is complete, the Addison High School girls track team not only finished in the top 10 in the state athletically but earned academic honors as well. The girls were 5th overall with a combined GPA of 3.786. These ladies not only worked hard on the track but they did in the classroom too.
Also earning individual academic all state honors was Courtney Flaws, who earned a GPA her freshman year of a 4.09. She was all state in both the 4×400 relay and 4×200 relay. To earn this award, athletes must place in the top 8 at the MHSAA State Finals and also have a minimum GPA of 3.500.
“Part time athlete, full time student.” Congratulations girls, so proud of you. You had an amazing season.
