Girls Middle School Track, Girls Varsity Track · Addison Lady Panthers qualify for State meet in 6 events


The Addison girls track team certainly wanted to come out and make a roar today. They knew the times, distances and jumps they needed to make in order to qualify for the state finals that will be held in Grand Rapids on June 3. The lady Panthers will be sending 6 athletes in 6 events to the state meet after a wonderful day of awesome competition. These ladies certainly performed today, as a team they finished in 5th place out of 13 schools. Best finish Addison girls have had in many years. Below are some of the amazing and brag worthy highlights from today’s Regional meet:

Alexis Zacharias finished in 2nd place in the 200 meter dash with a qualifying state time of 27.59.

Haley Wilkes finished in 5th place in the mile with a PR time of 5:55.2 and a vey impressive PR in the 2 mile with a 4th place finishing time of 12:44.03.

Ally McLouth had an amazing day. Finishing the day with 4 regional championships, Ally qualified in all 4 of her events. She won the long jump with a jump of 16’7.5″ and also broke her own school record in the 300 hurdles with a winning time of 46.31. Ally was also a part of the 1600 relay and the 800 relay.

The 3200 relay with Haley Wilkes, Emily Knight, Christina Bailey and Eva Marshall finished in 6th place with a PR time of 11:16.06.

The 800 relay with Alexis Zacharias, Courtney Flaws, Morgan Fletcher and Ally McLouth finished in first place and qualified for state with a time of 1:49.9.

The 400 relay with Alexis Zacharias, Alivia Magnus, Morgan Fletcher and Sarah Defay finished in 4th place with a state qualifying time of 54.01.

The 1600 relay with Alexis Zacharias, Courtney Flaws, Morgan Fletcher and Ally McLouth finished in first place with a state qualifying time of 4:15.5.

A few other shout outs for an impressive day is Kayla Rutan who ran a PR time of 54.5 in the 300 hurdles and Breanna Hardin who ran a PR time in the mile of 7:18.2.

These ladies seek opportunities to push themselves to their limits and it showed today. There was a lot of competing with heart today and their coach is extremely proud. Way to go panthers.
